  • Yes, coaching can be beneficial for stroke survivors at any stage of their recovery journey, whether they are in the acute phase immediately following the stroke, the subacute phase during rehabilitation, or the chronic phase as they adjust to life after stroke. Coaches tailor their approach to meet the unique needs and challenges of each survivor.

  • During our coaching session you can expect compassionate support, goal-oriented conversations, exploration of your strengths and resources, identification of barriers to progress, development of practical strategies and action plans, and ongoing encouragement and accountability.

  • While traditional rehabilitation services focus primarily on physical recovery and functional abilities, coaching takes a holistic approach, addressing not only the physical aspects of recovery but also the emotional, social, and psychological aspects. Coaches help survivors adapt to life changes, set new goals, and find purpose and meaning beyond their stroke experience.

  • In some cases, coaching services for stroke survivors may be covered by health insurance if provided by licensed healthcare professionals, such as psychologists or social workers, as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation plan. However, coverage varies depending on the insurance provider and specific policy terms. It's recommended to check with your insurance provider for eligibility and coverage details. At this stage our sessions will not be covered by health insurance but in the future it will be covered.

  • Yes, family members or caregivers are welcome to participate in coaching sessions if desired. Involving loved ones can provide additional support, enhance communication, and facilitate the implementation of strategies to support the survivor's goals and well-being.
